Depicting the Shinjuku style, on the streets of Tokyo, Masa Hamanoi’s series follows model Hayato Yazawa as he does what he does best: playing basketball, eating pastries, and smizing for the camera. “I just wanted to shoot what he loves”, Hamanoi told us via e-mail, “his present life in Tokyo, his cool and funny sides”. With crisp renditions of the district’s colourful streets alongside a cool mixture of business casual clothing and streetwear, we would say that this editorial makes Yazawa’s Tokyo pretty easy to love.
