We bring to you the 22 year old Cologne born and bred model Maximilian Bungarten. Now signed with the highly spoken of Izaio Model Management, Bungarten had is initial introduction to become a model while on a night out in the infamous Berghain, where a designer approached him with the idea. Now studying for his real passion being film making in Munich the young fresh face manages to keep a good balance between the opposite occupations.
Was modeling always a dream of yours?
Not really. I always expected to find a place behind the camera. Years ago I wanted to become a photographer. Now I’m producing film.

Shooting the next Raf Simons campaign, at great salt lake dessert.
What’s the biggest challenge you have being a male model?
I don’t think there is gender specific challenge, but probably the biggest challenge for all of us is time management.
What is the one thing you would like to see change within the fashion industry?
I would love to see more people spending money on young talented designers.
Who is your biggest current icon?
For now, I’m free of icons. I like the images of Wolfgang Tillmanns. In summer I’ll be shooting a film about european and Arabian youth culture, somehow inspired by him. And I have to mention Jovana Reisinger, she’s great!
